ESDAA Girls' Basketball Results

Congratulations to the Girls' Basketball Team for winning first place at the ESDAA Tournament at Ohio School for the Deaf on February 16-18. It has been 20 years since Lexington won the trophy. The girls played three hard games against NYSD, PSD and WPSD. Special recognition goes to Yenifer Garcia, Gigi Zheng and Heidy de la Rosa for making the All-Tournament Team.

The Lexington Alumni Basketball Team in hosting the First Annual Bluejays Deaf Expo to support the Lexington Athletics Program. The event will take place in Lexington's gym on Saturday, May 5th from 11 am - 6 pm. If you are interested in being a vendor at the Expo, please email Chairperson James Ginis at lexdeafexpo@gmail.com.

Lexington Students to Dance in Times Square - Saturday, April 21st

Lexington's hip hop dancers will be taking the stage at Times Square this weekend as part of the Free Open Air Dance Concert sponsored by Project Dance New York. Plan to be in Times Square by 1:30 pm on Saturday, April 21, so you don't miss the performance. Students will be wearing bright turquoise shirts and big smiles.
Project Dance's mission is to bring hope and healing to culture through the universal language of dance.

How Do You Build a Sustainable City?

Today, Lexington's third graders visited the Queens Museum of Art to see the Panorama and participate in a discussion of architecture, sustainable living and the ecological future of NYC. Afterwards, each student used recycled materials to create his or her own 3-D city block. The blocks were then combined to make one sustainable city.

PSA Family Movie Day - Saturday, April 21

The PSA (Parent Staff Association) will be hosting a Family Movie Day at Lexington on Saturday, April 21. For pre-school and elementary children and their families, we will be showing Despicable Me 3 from 12-2 pm. For middle and high school students and their families, we will be screening Wonderstruck from 2:30 - 4:30 pm.
